Turbo Driving is recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers (C) for a leading logistics company in Rochester. This is a stable, long-term opportunity offering guaranteed hours, competitive pay, and a strong earning package including a quarterly performance bonus (£4000 per year).
Location: Rochester
Shift: Monday to Friday; Start times between 03:00 – 05:00
Pay & Benefits:
- Monday to Friday
- work alongside a porter
- Rates £18.25 or £20.45 per hour
- Quarterly performance bonus (£4000 per year)
- Travel Support (if you travel more than 10 miles the full journey will be paid)
- New Pass Drivers Welcome
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
The Role:
- Two-person team deliveries
- Heavy lifting (up to 25kg)
- Delivering to houses, flats and building sites
- Deliver to room of choice
- Use of sack barrow & stair climber
- Abide by driving rules and regulations
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Drive a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently
Please note: This role is approximately 70% manual handling and 30% driving.
Requirements:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will:
- Hold a valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence
- Hold a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
- Hold a valid UK CPC Card
- Have a clear DBS check (we will complete this with you)
- Pass a drug & alcohol test
- Able to meet the physical demands of the role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Work well as part of a team
